"EU4Blue is more than just an Erasmus+ project. It's a call to action."
— Martin Bieber (Project Coordinator, Germany)
Our Mission
In the spirit of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030) and aligned with the European Union’s vision for a greener, more sustainable future, we are building bridges between education and environmental responsibility.
Unlike many educational resources developed externally, EU4Blue is created by those who work with students every day — teachers and learners themselves. Driven by their ideas, questions, and daily experiences, this project brings the ocean into the classroom with real-world relevance and authentic voices.
Together, we will developed hands-on materials, creative tools, and ready-to-use content to promote ocean literacy, sustainability, and active citizenship across Europe. We also invite other institutions to join us on our journey!
To make this vision possible, we applied for funding through Erasmus+, the European Union’s flagship programme for education, training, and cooperation. Our project was selected — and we are proud to say that EU4Blue is co-funded by the European Union.
